Erie Hermawan is a civil society practitioner and local development professional with extensive experience with Perkumpulan Inisiatif, particularly in advancing community economic empowerment and regional development since 2005. Throughout his professional engagement, he has contributed to organizational initiatives focused on community facilitation, technical assistance, capacity development, and locally driven development.

Erie’s professional experience lies at the intersection of local economic development, community empowerment, local capacity strengthening, and participatory development. He has a strong interest in approaches that enable communities and local stakeholders to become active drivers of economic and social development, drawing on local assets, knowledge, and institutional capacity. Through facilitation and technical assistance, he contributes to strengthening the ability of communities and local organizations to design, manage, and sustain development initiatives that respond to local needs and contexts. His approach emphasizes learning, collaboration, institutional strengthening, and meaningful community participation as essential foundations for inclusive and sustainable development.
